2010 MTV Video Music Awards

The big winners at the 2010 MTV Music Video Awards that held at Nokia Theatre show yesterday Sunday September 12 included Justin Bieber as Best New Artist while Lady Gaga nabbed 8 awards including Video of the Year for "Bad Romance".

TV host and comedian Chelsea Handler acted as host of the evening, while performers included Eminem and Rihanna, Linkin Park, Usher, Drake, B.o.B., Taylor Swift and show-closer Kanye West.

Here's some trivia you can impress your friends with: Although Lady Gaga managed to win eight awards at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, that still doesn't break the record for most VMAs in a single night, which is held by (wait for it)…Peter Gabriel! Yep, people back in the '80s really went nuts for that "Sledgehammer" clip.

Here's a complete list of this year's VMA winners. Congrats to all the winners—but especially Muse, the Black Keys, and Florence and the Machine, all of whom rock and none of whom lip-sync. Just sayin'.
